Hundreds of people watched as a bus company delivered knockout blows during a stunt boxing match in Fargate on Saturday.

First said the bout highlighted the annual savings of buying a £12 FirstWeek ticket instead of a £13.50 Stagecoach tram and bus weekly pass.

The company says several of its services also get to the heart’ of Sheffield’s Moor market, which Supertram –operated by rival Stagecoach – does not.

A First spokesman said: “It was really busy and attracted hundreds of people as they passed on Fargate.”

First gave away £78 – the annual difference between the two rival weekly tickets – after each round of boxing to 10 passing shoppers.
