New research by the Chartered Management Institute suggests that managers’ readiness to switch between work-related and leisure activities during their time off is creating a grey area between their personal and professional lives.

The research showed half of all managers with a Smartphone or mobile device checked their work e-mail before going to sleep, one in four checked them again on waking up and a similar proportion checked e-mails on their way to and from work.
