Businesses across Sheffield City Region are being urged to celebrate after 12 manufacturers with local links were named in the sector’s top 100 most influential people.
The roll of honour, compiled by The Manufacturer, includes Dave Fothergill, managing director of Technicut, and chief executive and chairman at Forgemasters, Graham Honeyman and Tony Pedder.
Also listed are Chris Rea, founder of Rotherham-based AESSEAL, Mark Webber, managing director of Tinsley Bridge, Gripple founder Hugh Facey, Ed Stubbs, managing director of sister company, Loadhog and Dr Alex Mardapittas, the founder of energy saving innovator EMSc.
Two local business women – Jane Robinson from Barnsley-based laser specialist, Cutting Technologies, and silversmith Katey Felton – make it onto the list which also includes Juergen Maier, chief executive of Siemens’ UK arm and Dr Hamid Mughal, manufacturing director of Rolls-Royce, who played a major part in the development of the AMRC.
