A SHEFFIELD steelworks has taken joint honours with a picturesque Harrogate tea rooms in the Yorkshire in Bloom 2011 awards.
Sheffield Forgemasters and Betty’s and Taylor’s of Harrogate were awarded gold awards and named joint category winners in the business premises category of the awards.
Forgemasters has planted more than 6,500 sq ft of native British trees, shrubs and plants along with more exotic varieties to brighten its 64-acre Brightside Lane site and encourage more wildlife to the area.
Vicky Hinchcliffe, group environment director at SFIL, said: “We are absolutely delighted to win the award in the Yorkshire in Bloom competition. It is a true testament to the vision of everyone who has been involved.”
