Internet marketing expert Bigfoot Digital is targeting growth after moving from Wakefield to bigger offices in Barnsley’s Digital Media Centre.
The company specialises in helping a wide range of business clients to maximise their on-line presence through search engine optimisation and actively engage with customers through the internet, using social media marketing.
Bigfoot decided it needed to move to bigger premises after doubling its turnover in its second year of trading.
The company, led by founding partners Mark Woodcock and Lindsey Watson, has already recruited new staff as part of its growth plan and says more recruits will follow.
Marketing manager Emma Sharman said: “We moved to the DMC because it is an excellent business base and because Barnsley is so centrally located in the UK. This makes it a great place for us to grow and attract new clients. We expect to recruit two or three more people in the next few weeks which will double the size of our internet marketing team.
“Our intention is to grow steadily but surely and promote ourselves both locally and nationally to attract new clients.”
Emma Sharman also highlighted the “fantastic support” Bigfoot had received from business support agency Enterprising Barnsley, which has helped the firm with advice on effective financial management, off-line marketing and human resources.
Enterprising Barnsley business development manager Adrian Waite said: “We are delighted to support Bigfoot Digital’s plans for expansion in Barnsley.
“As experienced internet marketing experts they offer a specialised service which has a clear focus on delivering results to clients. We believe the company has genuine high growth prospects.”
