Bigfoot Digital is making strides into Europe after winning the contract to mount a high profile social media campaign for leading baby products company Munchkin.
The Barnsley Digital Media Centre-based business was called in by Munchkin to use platforms like Facebook and Twitter to reach the California-based group’s target audience in France.
Following the launch of Big Foot’s campaign, Munchkin’s Facebook following went from zero to 10,000 in less than two months and is now on course to exceed client targets.
The success has led to Bigfoot recruiting two new, multi-lingual members of staff and further job creation is in the pipeline.
Lindsey Watson, head of social media at Bigfoot Digital said: “We now manage social media campaigns on behalf of a wide variety of clients in a variety of sectors including pet care, baby goods, pregnancy and e-books.
“We were delighted that Munchkin awarded us the contract for social media in France, having built their UK social profile to over 110,000 followers on Facebook alone. It’s an exciting move for us and one that has allowed us to grow by adding multi-lingual staff to our team.
“There is further scope for expansion into other European countries and we are looking forward to moving forward with Munchkin as they seek to increase brand awareness and market penetration in these new international markets”.
Bigfoot Digital has won a number of new clients in recent months and now manages social profiles for clients with a combined following of 350,000.
In addition to social media, Bigfoot Digital also manages Search Engine Optimisation campaigns on behalf of a variety of clients who want greater exposure to their key audience online.

Clients include pet food and care products firm Burgess, which has gained top rankings with Google, Yahoo and Bing, with Bigfoot’s help, and Lindam, whose child and pet safety gate manufacturer are sold by Argos, Asda and Amazon.
