Lawyer Deborah Niven will be giving intellectual property advice to budding entrepreneurs in a Sheffield pub – as part of MADE: The Entrepreneur Festival.
Deborah, who also specialises in information technology and commercial law at hlw Keeble Hawson, will be at The Great Gatsby on Division Street over lunchtime on Wednesday September 24.
The ‘Entrepreneurs’ Pub’ has been organised by Sheffield University.
Deborah said: “It is crucial fledgling businesses understand and protect their intellectual property – particularly if there is any collaboration with another company or institution. Sometimes in the excitement of setting up a business, entrepreneurs may forget about the legalities that have to be in place before they get on making money.”
Darren Chouings, University of Sheffield enterprise officer, said: “The Entrepreneurs’ Pub will be a fantastic opportunity for the city to celebrate entrepreneurship in a relaxed and social environment.”
