Ben Still is the new executive director of Sheffield City Region Local Enterprise Partnership and the region’s Combined Authority - which represents the area’s nine councils.

He has been chief executive of the LEP since June 2012 - alongside his position as interim director general of South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive.

In his LEP roll, he led work to secure the Growth and Devolution Deals with Government which secured £350m of funding, as well as devolving significant powers to local business and political leaders.

Ben said: “As a result of our significant recent successes, Sheffield City Region is now in the vanguard of the Northern Powerhouse as we lead the way for devolution of powers and funding from central Government.

“I look forward to continuing to build partnerships between the public and private sector as we work together to achieve our vision to grow the economy and job growth.”
