A SHEFFIELD barristers’ chambers is relocating after buying a Grade II listed building on Leopold Street for £500,000.

Paradise Chambers, which merged last year with Manchester based barristers St Johns Buildings, is refurbishing the 5,687 sq ft former bank prior to relocating from premises in Paradise Square. The barristers have acquired the building from private clients of CBRE.

Roger Haworth, senior director at CBRE’s Sheffield office, said: “This was a rare opportunity to purchase a character building in the heart of Sheffield’s thriving new business quarter on Leopold Square.

“Although competition for the unit was strong when the property came to the market, after their recent merger and expansion Paradise Chambers saw the unique potential that the Leopold Street space could offer them, and the deal represents an excellent result for both parties.”
