A hairdresser has proved he’s head and shoulders above the rest after qualifying as a hair and scalp health expert.
Robert Eaton, the creative director at Russell Eaton salons, has just graduated from the Institute of Trichology, therefore becoming the first qualified trichologist and session hairstylist practising in the north of England.
The branch of trichology concerns the medicinal and cosmetic care of both the hair and scalp, and requires expert knowledge of a wider range of clinical skin conditions such as psoriasis, dermatitis and alopecia.
The top stylist is to use his new knowledge to open an exclusive trichology consultation service at his Barnsley salon.
Robert said: “After working with wig personalisation for over 10 years, I became increasingly interested in the medical aspects of hair, hair loss and hair growth.
“Completing the three years of study to become a trichologist has been a very interesting and rewarding element to my career.”
Through his trichology service, Robert will offer private consultations to deliver expert clinical scalp and hair care recommendations and session hair styling.
