Construction group BDB Design Build is targeting expansion after getting a £1.4 million boost from HSBC Commercial Banking.
Chapeltown-based BDB specialises in new developments for car dealerships.
The firm moved to HSBC because it could get funding to expand its work with existing clients and new customers, in addition to guarantee facilities, which will provide greater trading flexibility and a commercial mortgage.
Managing director Nick Goodson, whose father Alan founded the firm, said: “Our partnership with HSBC will allow the business to continue its growth strategy.
“We typically target projects valued between £1million and £6 million and already have a fantastic blue-chip client base.
“The banking relationship with HSBC provides great flexibility for us to capitalise on our successes and drive the business forward.”
HSBC area commercial director Martin Nattrass said: “It is great to partner with an organisation that is building upon its successful business model and making the most of the opportunities available.
“The construction sector was hit hard during the recession, so we’re delighted to see BDB Design Build go from strength to strength.”
