A NATIONAL bank has become a patron of the Sheffield Chamber of Commerce for the next 12 months.

The South Yorkshire commercial banking division of NatWest will support the Chamber in raising awareness of issues affecting the economy.

Spokesman Andy Lowther said: “This is part of a national strategic partnership NatWest is developing with the British Chambers of Commerce. Making finance available for businesses is critical to the growth of the economy, locally and across the country.”

NatWest joins The University of Sheffield, Sheffield Hallam University, Meadowhall, Irwin Mitchell, Westfield Health and Amey as Chamber patrons.

Amanda Pilgrim, head of business development at the Sheffield Chamber, said: “We are pleased such a well-known national organisation as NatWest has joined.”
