Bolton Surgical has had its success in the Middle East recognised with the presentation of a top healthcare award.
The Chapeltown-based surgical instrument manufacturer has been named the winner of the Middle East Hospital Health and Innovation Award for its outstanding contribution to healthcare in the Middle East.
The independent, family-owned firm gained the award after expanding its business supplying a number of Middle Eastern countries, most notably Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Egypt.
International business director Steve Spurgin said: “This is a testament to all the hard work we have done in recent years to develop a distributor network outside the UK with a particular focus on the Middle East, where surgeons often prefer to use surgical instruments manufactured in UK.
“We’re really pleased and honoured to receive the award from one of the top healthcare publishers for the Middle East region.”
Bolton’s main business is supplying the NHS and the private sector in the UK. It also runs a successful repair and refurbishment service, which is increasingly in demand as pressure on budgets mounts.
