Innovation and business consultancy Beta Technology is expanding in Australia.

The Doncaster company has launched a joint venture with Australian partners AMPLIFi Global Holdings to build on its work in Australia, which has grown over the last 12 months.

Known as AMPLIFi Governance UK, the venture will help family and private businesses to find suitable non-executive directors who will help them improve performance, accountability, sustainability and innovation.

Beta director Antony Davies says this latest joint venture will enable the company to continue to build its presence in Australia. The Doncaster firm set up the joint venture with the help of accountants and business advisers Grant Thornton, which has acted as auditor and adviser to Beta for almost 30 years.

Antony Davies said: “As well as providing sound financial advice, including advice on taxation and VAT, the firm has also supported our strategy development.

“Their advisers supported our management buy-out in 2006 and have developed an expertise in providing the specialist European project audits we require when bidding for contracts from the European Commission.

“Grant Thornton has also given us the assurance of being associated with a reputable, leading firm of business advisers with an overseas presence.”
