Apprenticeship help for youths

Have your say

YOUNG people in South Yorkshire are among almost 300 from England’s former coalfields to benefit from a programme run by the Coalfields Regeneration Trust.

Locally, the programme will work with organisations including Barnsley Community Build, Priory Campus in Barnsley, Rotherham Council and Refurnish Doncaster.

The apprenticeships will provide an opportunity to young people to ‘earn while they learn’ in industries including catering, retail, customer service, youth work, care work, horticulture, furniture production, construction, plumbing, electrics, carpentry and joinery, bricklaying, finance, housing, HR, law, health, sport, leisure and business administration.

Each apprenticeship will run for at least 12 months.
