A SHEFFIELD apprentice has been recognised for his exceptional work in an awards programme run by City & Guilds.

Paul Tuton, who works for Sheffield building company SES, was highly commended by judges for work he completed as part of his electrotechnical technology installation course.

Paul, an electrical apprentice who is taught at the Leeds College of Building, said: “I was thrilled to have been nominated by my training adviser and lecturer and feel very proud to have been commended for my work.”

Ian Billyard, his principal, said: “To have an apprentice chosen for such a prestigious award is a testament to his exceptional accomplishments. Winning a medal requires a lot of hard work and dedication and we are incredibly proud of his success.”
