One of Sheffield’s largest employers has been asked to share the secrets of its successful apprenticeship programme at a national forum.
Rick Franckeiss, Sheffield Forgemasters’ group training officer, will be a keynote speaker at the Westminster Employment Forum seminar, which will see business leaders from across the country discuss the benefits and future of apprenticeships.
Rick, who manages all education and apprenticeship schemes and programmes at the Brightside Lane site, said: “Apprenticeships are in the hearts of all the management at Forgemasters.
“We believe in them because they take people, develop their skill bases, further their education and mould them for the world of work.
“We offer our apprentices a strong framework for success.
“They are supported throughout their programmes by managers and mentors, and we know they are fully prepared for working life at Forgemasters when they complete their apprenticeship.”
Forgemasters employs 66 apprentices in all disciplines of its business.
