‘Adult venue’ plan deferred

A DECISION on proposals to open a new adult club have been deferred because the applicant was unable to make a meeting.

Adrian Pearson, of West Yorkshire-based A&D UK Ltd, had applied for permission to convert a building on Effingham Street, Attercliffe, into a venue called Paradise, which would include a bar plus spa and bedrooms.

The proposals had been due for consideration at a meeting of Sheffield Council’s licensing board yesterday.

If granted permission, the new club will be allowed to open between 11am and 6am seven days a week.

Entry would be via a secure door, and large groups or drunk people would be refused entry.
