Acquisitions: Sheffield steel firm buys new centres

Sheffield firm Tata Steel has bought three new service centres on the continent to boost its processing capabilities abroad.

Tata has bought two centres from SSAB in Sweden and the remaining 50 per cent stake in another it already half-owned.

It gives the firm processing capacity in Halmstad, Sweden, Naatali, Finland and Frederikstad, Norway.
