Sheffield accountancy firm Hart Shaw is counting on the cream of the crop coming to work for them by sponsoring the maths prize at private Westbourne School.
Now in its fourth year, the winner in 2014 was James Richardson.
He received his prize at the school’s end of year prize-giving ceremony held at the Crucible.
John Hicks, Westbourne headteacher, said: “We are delighted with our association with Hart Shaw and their support in sponsoring this maths prize.
“James is in our scholarship class and has worked incredibly hard throughout his Westbourne career. Alongside the rest of our top set, he has been studying for the Level 2 Certificate in further mathematics in addition to his GCSE, and is expected to gain an outstanding grade in both qualifications.
Hart Shaw business recovery partner Christopher Brown said: “It is pleasing to see such desire from the students at Westbourne, who will now be making key decisions on which path their careers may lead.
“It is great to see this year’s event held at the Crucible, which really highlights the success the school is having year on year.”
