Entrepreneur Gareth Boot has joined the board of Sheffield design and marketing agency FrankCreative to help develop the agency’s portfolio and support its continued growth.

Mr Boot is the founder and managing director of Leeds supply chain management company, The PIC Group.

FrankCreative was formed in 2005 by Ian Durman and includes William Hill, Sheffield City Council, Cheswold Park Hospital, Meadowhall and Emsleys Solictors and Estate Agents as clients.

The company is now based at Sheffield Business Centre, after taking on new staff, after recent contract successes

Gareth Boot said: “I have worked with Ian and FrankCreative for several years now through some mutual clients and have always been impressed with his energy, ambition, creative abilities and commitment to excellent client service.

“I have been on the look-out for a specialist agency to invest in and help develop for the past 12 months and am excited about the opportunity with Frank Creative. Ian and I share similar beliefs about how a business should be run and I am looking forward to playing my part in helping the agency achieve the next steps in its growth ambitions.”

Ian Durman said: “Gareth has a strong track record in business development and we are delighted that he has elected to join our board. Now that we have the skills and investment from Gareth, we intend to build on recent successes and really go after the clients we want.”

The PIC Group provides services to clients from the leisure and sporting sectors, ranging from creative design, through to print and distribution.

The group has a turnover of £1.5 million, employs 43 members of staff and is the preferred supplier to William Hill, Ladbrokes and Corals – the three largest bookmakers in the UK – as well as smaller chains of independent shops.
