Mel Burrell, managing director of St Paul's Developments, has been named South Yorkshire Property Personality of the Year.
St Pauls Developments has been responsible for some of the most significant economic regeneration projects in the region.

Developments include the Cortonwood business and retail parks in Rotherham, Doncaster Carr business and retail park, Waterside and Valley Park industrial sites in Barnsley, the huge Brookfields Enterprise Zone in Rotherham's Dearne Valley, and the Sheffield 35A and Smithy Wood business parks adjacent to the M1 in Sheffield.

Mr Burrell said: "Even though this award was presented to me personally it's really a reflection of the work achieved by St. Paul's Developments since the company was formed in 1990.

"Both St Paul's and I are committed to the prosperity of Sheffield and South Yorkshire as a whole and I believe this way of thinking has contributed to the presentation tonight."

The award was presented to Mr Burrell by Jon Bond of Bond Bryan Architects.
