A TRADITIONAL Japanese sake ceremony marked a double celebration for print company, B&B Press.
The Rotherham firm is celebrating its 50th birthday this year and has expanded its capabilities by buying two new Japanese presses.

The state-of-the-art machines, made by the Sakurai Corporation can print four and five colours respectively in a single pass and apply a matt, silk or gloss coating at the same time.

B&B Press managing director, Barry Liversidge, says the presses will improve efficiency, reduce overheads and turn work round approximately 30 per cent faster than previous presses.

Mr Liversidge says B&B has increased its turnover despite the economic climate and extreme competition in the printing industry.

Sakurai Corporation president, Ryuta Sakurai, was present at the celebration to mark the Japanese company's relationship with the Rotherham firm, which stretches back more than 25 years.
