Doncaster construction company PBS Group has boosted its turnover by more than 40 per cent with the help of a £50,000 loan from South Yorkshire Investment Fund.
PBS, based at Heather Court on Shaw Wood Business Park, specialises in refurbishing social housing, care homes and schools, across the North of England and the East Midlands.

The Fund's investment provided working capital for the expansion and has
allowed the company to create partnerships with Henry Boot, The Wates Group and Bramall Construction.

PBS Group has also diversified, working with Portakabin for clients who include supermarket group Sainsbury. Now, after increasing turnover from £4.4 million to £6 million, the company is targeting further expansion along the M4 corridor.

PBS Group business development director David Tuck says that when he joined the firm 18 months ago, it worked with just one contractor.

Since then it has begun working with a number of contractors, resulting in the increase in turnover.
