BUSINESS and Education South Yorkshire, is looking for families in the Doncaster area who can provide accommodation for a party of French apprentices who will be visiting South Yorkshire in September.
The plumbing apprentices, aged between 16 and 18, will be shadowing local tradesmen for three weeks as part of the Les Compagnons du Devoir programme, which aims to promote good relations between France and South Yorkshire and give the students an al
l round experience of living and working in England.

Adrian Jones, project co-ordinator for the programme from Business and Education South Yorkshire, said: "We had a really good response when we had French apprentices visiting earlier this year and we are appealing for help once again.

"The Apprentices will be working in local businesses, so we are looking for people living nearby to these workplaces. Anyone interested should get in touch with us as soon as possible."

For further information, call Business Education South Yorkshire, tel: 01709 336673 or email: sharon.searles@be-sy.co.uk.
