Consultancies join forces

Two leading construction consultancies with offices in Sheffield are joining forces.
Capita Symonds, which operates in the building design, civil engineering, environment, management and transport sectors, has acquired structural and civil engineering consultant NRM Bobrowski.

Andrew Murray, chief operating officer of Capita Symon
ds, said: "This is another important acquisition for us as part of a concerted strategy to expand key areas of our business and enhance our existing offering. NRM Bobrowski brings some excellent engineering expertise and experience and we look forward to working with them."

NRM Bobrowski will change its name to Capita Bobrowski and the four strong team from its offices in Watsons Chambers Business Centre, Market Place, Sheffield is expected move to Capita Symonds' offices in Devonshire Green House, on Fitzwilliam Street.

Capita Symonds' new acquisition also has operations in London and Southampton, and has worked on a number of high profile locations, including Epsom, Newmarket and Cheltenham Racecourses, Canary Wharf, Ipswich Football Club and Lord's Cricket Ground.
