Kevan Shaw and Greg Barker from Strategic Corporate Finance structured the deal and raised the necessary funding for the buyout at Manor Plant Hire supplies construction and contracting companies with equipment, ranging from large earth movers to han

The Manor Plant Hire deal was the second disposal in three years for the major shareholder, Adrian Harkin, who sold AMH Construction to its management team in 2005. Kevan Shaw said: "We are delighted to have assisted in this buy out. Under the new management the company now has an excellent platform for continued success."

Mr Shaw and Mr Barker also ran an auction process, which led to Strontium becoming the preferred bidder for The Learning Eye, and provided advice to Learning Eye's shareholders, throughout the sale.

"Our research identified Strontium as a potential purchaser and the price obtained for the shareholders recognised The Learning Eye as an excellent strategic fit for them," said Mr Shaw.

Legal advice for the vendor was provided by Richard May of DLA Piper in Sheffield.

The Learning Eye provides services including event based learning programmes, product launches, management training and conferences for clients such as Toyota, Lexus and Nissan.
