Architects win design award

LEADING Sheffield architect Bond Bryan has won the education category of the Bradford District Design Awards for its innovative design of Bradford Academy.
The £20 million Academy replaces Bradford Cathedral Community College and was designed around a "Forum" where students meet to socialise and to hold debates and

Bond Bryan project architect, John Hope, said: "We have based the design on the promotion and encouragement of citizenship and created a stimulating environment."

The Bradford District Design Awards are intended to reward good design, raise awareness of design issues and encourage a visually attractive, livable and sustainable 21st Century designs.
