Distinction Doors has created 20 new jobs and boosted turnover to £29 million by buying rivals Evergreen Doors. The deal means Barnsley-based Distinction has become the UK market leader for manufacturing glass reinforced polyester insulated composite doors, eight years after the company was launched by managing director Drew Wright, second from the right with his team.

“The composite door market is the fastest growing sector of the industry,” said Mr Wright.

“Our acquisition of Evergreen Doors enabled us to grow at a substantial rate but our staff and innovation will put us in the best standing to retain our position in the UK as the market leader.”
