A fast-growing technology company has received a £15,000 grant from Sheffield Council.
Switchstance has promised to match it with its own £15,000. The firm says it expects to create eight jobs in the next three years and grow turnover by 170 per cent.
The firm has had support from two Sheffield Council schemes to help the private sector. It went through the Threshold Companies initiative at Creative Sheffield which is currently helping 19 companies and is funded through the Keep Sheffield Working fund
It also has an intern through the RISE scheme which places graduates with local SMEs.
Switchstance is accelerating development of its new web-based marketing tool, Gurgl.
Programme director Angela Stead said: “We are delighted with the support to develop our new product and have received very positive initial feedback on our recent investment and launch.
“Meeting regularly with Creative Sheffield’s business growth team has helped keep us on track and focused our growth plans.”
