A video company in Barnsley has just completed a film for Def Leppard frontman Joe Elliott’s band Down’n’Outz - while helping disaffected young people get into the industry.
Visualisedit is run by former college lecturer Joada Allen-Booth and works with local schools to offer work experience and BTEC qualifications.
Joada said: “It is a very hard industry to get in to and if we can help at all then that’s great. Often the young people who come to us are school students who are disengaged and at danger of dropping out. And we are finding that we can engage with them. They stay the whole course and they get valuable experience.”
It is supported by Enterprising Barnsley.
