TWO female boxers stole the show in a busy night of amateur action staged by Handsworth ABC at Woodseats WMC.
Rotherham-based Sharon Holford, who has recently moved down in weight to 52kg, stopped her opponent with precision left hooks to the body in round one.

Sharon, a 27-year-old lifeguard at Wingfield pool, travels to France with the England squad on March 22 to compete at her new weight.

Handsworth trainer Ronny Tucker said: "When Sharon won the National ABA title we realised that England had only one spot left on the team at 52kg. Sharon was 55kg before Christmas so all the hard work she has put in has now paid off.

"She has been working closely with her coach, former England international Adam Ainger."

Sarah Loukes excelled and came away with a win.
