GLYN Rhodes admits he is slightly punch-drunk.
But it's not the 33 fights and 13 years as a professional boxer or the sparring and training at his Sheffield Boxing Centre gym that is sending his head spinning.

It's the success of The Star's Boxing Against Bullying campaign!

It has been so well received that schools are still queuing up to hear about our unusual and thought-provoking campaign.

Rhodes says: "The reception we have got in the city and elsewhere has been phenomenal.

"Schools read about it in The Star and then want to take part in it. Plus kids at our gym are asking if we can go to their schools too. It's coming in all directions!

"But it is all worthwhile. We wanted to reassure youngsters and we seem to be doing just that.

"The latest schools we have been invited to seem delighted by what we had to say.

"We keep it simple ... spreading the message that it is not cool to be a bully and if you are on the receiving end of it, you don't have to put up with it.

"We have phone numbers and the name of responsible organisations to give out to kids if they need them.

"Kids admire the boxers and I think they find it easy to listen to them. Once they find out that boxers hate bullies, that strikes a chord with them."

Rhodes always takes a team of trainers and fighters into school assembly halls.
