JUNIOR Witter fears Ricky Hatton will retire before he gets the chance to take him on
Sheffield's WBC light welter world champion has long cherished a desire to take on the marauding Mancunian.

Witter is preparing for Friday's title defence at Doncaster Dome, against American-based Vivian Harris, and Hatton will face the great Floyd Mayweather Jr in December in the States.

Speaking to thestar.co.uk/ Witter talks about his preparation for his bout and his concerns that Hatton may give up the sport after his contest in America.

If a fight with Hatton does not happen, Witter may face American Paulie Malignaggi, the IBF champion, or Welshman Gavin Rees, the new WBA champion. "If Ricky does not step up to the plate I would love to fight Malignaggi and take him out at Madison Square Garden."
