NEWLY-crowned British champion Kell Brook is in no doubt who he wants next on his dance-card.
"Tony Doherty - I want to smash his face in," says the Hillsborough welterweight title-holder.

Brook is peeved that Doherty gatecrashed his big moment when he won his Lonsdale Belt, beating Barrie Jones, at Bethnal Green, last month.

Doherty, from Pontypool, Wales, confronted Brook after his win and the two exchanged threats and abuse before security staff stepped in.

"He has got loads of mouth and was just trying to get involved because I'd won the title," says the Sheffielder.

"He should never have come in the ring.

"A fight with him would be a real grudge match, lots of people would want to see it because they know Doherty would get smashed."

After dispensing with Doherty, Brook fancies at least one more defence of his British crown before stepping up to European and Common-wealth level.

"Craig Watson (the Oldham boxer who recently beat Matthew Hatton) is the Commonwealth champion and I know I could do him," says Brook "while 'Sugar' Jackson (a Belgian boxer with Ghanese roots) is European champion. He is a friend of mine but if we had to box, then that's what will happen."

The Hillsborough powerhouse says it has taken weeks to come down from the high of winning the British belt.

"On the night of the fight I slept with the belt beside me," he said.

"It is a beautiful belt, a lot of good people have won it and I'm very proud of it. I don't want to appear arrogant, but I had plenty left after beating Jones, in fact I probably was only 30 or 40 per cent of what I am capable of."
