SWANSEA have completed the signing of Sheffield United forward David Cotterill on loan with a view to a permanent move.
The 21-year-old Wales international has penned an initial loan deal until January 4 - when he is expected to sign a three-year contract.

Cotterill said: "I've moved to Swansea for purely footballing reasons.

"It was very frustrating at Sheffield because I wasn't playing regularly - and any footballer will tell you there is nothing worse."

Swansea manager Paulo Sousa said of his new recruit: "He has the attributes I expect from a player in his position. He brings quality and different characteristics to the squad that will help us improve."

Asmir Begovic would welcome another loan spell at IPSWICH if the opportunity arose.

A sad day for United. More quality gone so Blackwell can prepare us for eternal Championship football. Nobody of any quality wants to play for Blackwell and when he does have a bit of quality in the squad he doesn't know how to use it. What a sad excuse for a manager we have.
