FIVE days before their teams do so, managers Brian Laws and Kevin Blackwell went head-to-head last night - on the radio.
The pair shared a studio for an hour on BBC Radio Sheffield's Football Heaven phone-in, swapping tales, and joking with each other as they took calls from Blades and Owls fans.

Predictably, neither gave anything away but there was a whiff of red herrings about ... Laws said everybody was fit and raring to go when asked about Akpo Sodje whilst Blackwell said Darius Henderson would start but Chris Morgan and Nick Montgomery were not fit to play. Inevitably, there were good-natured 'digs' from both sides and Blackwell did give the pot a stir by claiming United were now the bigger club.

Verdict? Probably a draw - a popular tip for Sunday's Hillsborough derby!

Sheffieldspiggiestclub you dumbf*cker 19/10/2008 11:05:18
You were just harping on about what counts is HERE AND NOW on another post Sheffieldpiggiestclub. Talk about double standards, you t*t. So because the blunts are doing OK for now you don't want to be reminded about low crowds and playing crappy football? But it's OK for to go on about the Owls being where they were a few seasons back?
Lets go back a few seasons, you may have to get out your little ticket stubs to remind yourself old timer! You lot averaged around 16,000, WE got on average 24,000 that's great for the division we were in. If the blades go down (fingers crossed, they do) I'll bet you anything that they don't get 24,000 no matter how cheap they make the seats.
You have supporters coming out because of the one season in the Prem plus cheap seats it's as simple as that. MUG!!

You really do make yourself look like a muppet.
