UP to 70 pet cats may have gone missing from a South Yorkshire housing estate in the past two years.
Cat owners in Woodlaithes at Flanderwell, Rotherham, are now being warned to keep a closer eye on their pets after the problem flared up again.

Some of the cats have gone missing in broad daylight – and there are fears the animals may be taken for
their fur or to be used in dog fighting.

A number of cat owners who replaced their pets after having them stolen have now seen these disappear too.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Rawmarsh police station on 01709 832426.
