SIX foot Brian Fox is in a lather - over a three foot bath in his Sheffield bungalow.
The council tenant claims he only agreed to move into his property in Bernard Street, Park Hill, on condition the three foot disabled bath was removed and replaced with a full size one.

But staff at Sheffield Homes, which manages the council's housing stock, say they never made any promises - and claim there's nothing wrong with Brian's tiny tub.

Today Brian fumed: "It's a disabled bath and it's only 3ft 8ins - I'm 6ft tall!

"I've contacted the council several times. They have told me I have been placed on a waiting list and it will take another three months before someone comes to look."

Brian says he is meant to bathe in Epsom salts three times a week because of a bad back.

He suffers from a trapped nerve but his back got worse after he was knocked off his bike in a crash in 2006, spent 12 days in a coma, and was left partially brain damaged.

Brian said: "As far as I'm concerned I accepted my bungalow on condition the bath would be replaced."

A Sheffield Homes spokeswoman said Brian first contacted them in December but was out on two occasions when staff called round for pre-arranged appointments.

She said his enquiry had been passed to social services who would send an occupational health therapist to visit him in the next three months.
