INTRUDERS armed with a gun and a baseball bat burst into a house in South Yorkshire - and then realised they had got the wrong house.
The men, who both wore stockings to mask their faces, stormed into the house off Barnsley Road, Cudworth, one of them carrying a shotgun and the other armed with a wooden bat.
One of the thugs pointed the gun at the male occupant and ordered to h
im to take them into his cellar.
Police said the man "feared for his safety" and did as he was told - but once in the cellar the gunman said he had the wrong house, apologised and fled with his accomplice.
They were last seen running along Bloemfontein Street, towards Pontefract Road.
The gunman was white, around 6ft 2in, of stocky or muscular build, clean shaven, with a round face and a local accent. He wore a dark navy blue Nike tracksuit top with a hood over his head, dark jeans and dark trainers.
The other man was white, around 6ft 4in, also of stocky or muscular build, with mousy hair and a local accent.
He wore a white, blue and red stripy scarf covering the lower half of his face and a light blue fleece top with the hood up.
