TWO pub managers in Barnsley are calling on their customers to take part in a world record wine tasting.
Managers at The Horseshoe in Wombwell and The Joseph Bramah in Barnsley town centre are staging the event as part of their 19-day wine festival, which runs from May 21 until June 8.

They are two of 690 Wetherspoon pubs in the UK hosting the synchronised wine tasting in bid to create a new Guinness World Record.

The drinking begins at 6pm on Wednesday May 21, with customers offered a free glass of wine.

The current world record stands at 5,100 tasters.
