NETTO customers in Barnsley showed true dedication when they started queueing for the opening of a new store - at 5am!
Hundreds queued from the early hours to pick up opening day offers at the new Netto supermarket in Monk Bretton.

The supermarket was officially opened by the store's first customer - Chris Pye - store manager Wayne Lowe, and Netto's managing director Richard Lancaster.

Chris, who was joined by fellow Netto fan Tracy Johnson to help cut the ribbon, said: "We've been really looking forward to the opening. We've travelled from Darton to be here today and pick up some of the opening o ffers.

"I was more than happy to queue from 5am and I certainly haven't been disappointed. I'll definitely be shopping here in future."

Wayne said: "The response from shoppers has been absolutely amazing. I was thrilled to see so many people queuing so early to celebrate the opening.

"Opening days are always really exciting and this one certainly didn't disappoint - I'm delighted with the number of people who've turned up to celebrate with us."
