TWO hundred houses in Thurnscoe will get new roofs, windows, doors and insulation as part of a massive regeneration scheme.
Work by Bramall Construction has already started on homes in east Thurnscoe and is set to be completed in March.

Roads included in the programme include Lancaster, Hanover, Norman, Stuart and Dane streets.

The revamp scheme has already seen off
-street parking, new boundary walls and gates installed at some homes.

Coun William Newman, cabinet spokesperson for development, said: "The property improvements completed so far in east Thurnscoe have had a significant impact.

"The investment provided between now and next March will ensure the continued uplifting of the appearance of this part of the village. Furthermore, it will assist in the progressive regeneration of the wider area."
