YOUNG people in the Gawber area of Barnsley are being asked to say what improvements they want to see in their local park.
A roadshow will be held at Harry Road park in Gawber on Monday when there will be activities, music and free refreshments from 1pm to 4pm.

Organised by the Friends of Harry Road Park in association with the council's youth service, the event aims
to give young people the chance to speak to council officers about proposals for improving the park.

Coun Linda Burgess, cabinet spokesperson for children, young people and families, said: "We are taking the opportunity of engaging with young people over the summer, finding out what their needs are for Harry Road Park.

"We have to listen to the younger generation, respect their views and ensure we get it right first time."
