A group of 14 volunteers from the Emmanuel Methodist Church in Barnsley have just set off for Zambia, where they will help local people build much needed housing.
Beth Crowther, aged 21, from Silkstone Common, and 24-year-old Helen McNair, of Mapplewell, are leading the Barnsley Builders.
Beth and Helen are among the UK's youngest group leaders volunteering for the charity Habitat for Humanity.
The Barnsley Builders have travelled across the globe each year since 2005 - with recent missions to Ghana, Mozambique and Guyana - but this is the first time Beth and Helen have taken the lead.
The team - who have raised around £2,000 each to fund the trip - also includes Beth's two younger sisters Sarah, 19, and 17-year-old Rebecca and has members aged up to 63.
"None of us has qualifications in construction, but what we all offer is unlimited enthusiasm," said Beth. "Our aim is to build two houses from foundation level. It is intensely physical work, including mixing cement, laying bricks and painting."
The group will spend the next two weeks building in a village just outside Lusaka.
