A TEENAGER suffered a broken wrist and ankle after being thrown from a golf buggy in South Yorkshire.
The 19-year-old Barnsley man was taken to Barnsley District General Hospital where he was detained.

The golf buggy, which was modified with a fitted engine, overturned on a car park in Grove Park Industrial Estate off Springvale Road, Grimethorpe, at 11.05am on Saturday.

The teenager had not been playing golf and was not on his way to play golf.

Anyone who saw the incident is asked to call 0114 220 2970.

At 19, while he may be a TEENAGER I think it would be more accurate to call him a man ... as he's surely not a kid...

"modified with a fitted engine"

So a golf cart that has no modifications has an engine that doesn't fit?

"The teenager had not been playing golf and was not on his way to play golf."

So the police are looking for witnesses reporting seeing a teenager not playing golf, or on his way to play golf? Wonder how wide that makes the catchment area?
