A DRUNKEN teenage thug and her violent sidekick aged just 12 left two girls with broken noses after an alcohol-fuelled brawl in South Yorkshire.
Coleen Boldy, aged 19, and her 12-year-old 'hanger on', punched and kicked their victims in Barnsley town centre after they called them names, Sheffield Crown Court heard.

Clive Cooke, prosecuting, said Boldy punched 15-year-old Naomi Evans in the
mouth, knocked her to the ground, and then kicked her in the head causing her to lose consciousness.

The 12-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, grabbed Lauren Oxborough, also 15, by the hair and repeatedly kicked her.

When the girls fled towards Barnsley bus interchange, Naomi Evans was set upon again.

The 12-year-old was given a three-year conditional discharge after admitting assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

Boldy, of Gerald Road, Kendray, admitted two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

Chris Rawlinson, defending, said the attack was a "drunken moment of madness".

Sending Boldy to a young offenders' institute for eight months, the Recorder of Sheffield, Judge Alan Goldsack QC, told her: "If that sort of behaviour was committed by a young man, straight off to custody they would go.

"In these days of equal opportunity exactly the same must follow with young women."

He added: "The offences represent a disgraceful episode of late-night town centre violence in Barnsley with which the good people of Barnsley – which constitutes the vast majority – is utterly fed up.

"You were in the company of a much younger girl and you had far too much to drink."
