SHOPPERS at the Co-operative Pharmacy in Hoyland can have their cake and eat it… in aid of a good cause.
Staff at the Hoyland Health Centre branch, in West Street, will be baking cakes to sell to customers in aid of Barnsley Hospice.

They will be on sale on Friday from 9am to 6pm. As well as collecting donations for the hospice, there will be a fundraising raffle, with prizes donated by local businesses.

"We are a community pharmacy and we wanted to do something to involve local people," explained pharmacist Kajal Sheth. "It is to raise money for a very worthwhile cause, and we are all looking forward to doing some baking."
