BLACKBURN'S Dutch striker Maceo Rigters has agreed a season-long loan at Barnsley.
Oakwell officials were yesterday awaiting FA clearance for the 24-year-old to complete the move.

Barnsley boss Simon Davey hopes to have the former NAC Breda player on the bench at QPR today.

Said Davey: “He is a striker who gets goals, he was a golden boot winner with Holland last year and who got a good move to Blackburn.

“Through injury and being behind Roque Santa Cruz at Blackburn, he has not had a lot of football.

“He’s powerful and this is an opportunity to strengthen our strikers department with a player of real pedigree.”

Iain Dowie's new-look QPR side will be without captain Martin Rowlands.

He misses Dowie's first three matches in charge through suspension due to his sending-off in the final game of last season against West Brom.

Centre-half Damion Stewart serves the final game of a three-match ban while loan signing Samuel Di Carmine also sits out with a one-game suspension.
