STRIKER Maceo Rigters added to Barnsley's goalscoring problems, pulling out of Saturday's trip to Birmingham City.
The Dutchman, on loan from Blackburn Rovers, is nursing a hamstring injury today and could be out of manager Simon Davey's for three weeks.

"He just over-stretched in training," Davey confirmed.

Rigters' absence, together with Iain Hume's one-match ban, opens the door for either Kayode Odejayi or Miguel Mostto to parner striker Jon Macken at Birmingham.

Rigters started the Carling Cup tie at Crewe.

"Apart from that, he's had only 10 minutes here and there; he needs more games. There's definitely more to come from him," Davey added.

Canadiain international Hume was due to arrive in Toronto today ahead of Canada's World Cup qualifer against Jamaica tomorrow.

His red card against Cov-entry means he is suspended on Saturday as Barnsley travel to Birmingham.

Davey is hopeful that left winger Mounir El Haimour, who missed Saturday's game against Coventry with a calf injury, could be available to face unbeaten Birmingham at the weekend.

Barnsley skipper Brian Howard, scorer against Coventry, has been named in the Championship team of the week.

Barnsley reserves start their season tomorrow at Hartlepool.
